Our History

Our Heritage and Mission Founded in 1932 by the Christian Brothers, Saint Mary’s Academy (SMA) has been a cornerstone of education in Dominica, dedicated to nurturing young men into leaders. Located on Turkey Lane in Roseau, SMA is the island’s only all-boys Catholic high school, renowned for its commitment to academic excellence and moral integrity. Over the decades, SMA has shaped the lives of countless students, instilling values of service, leadership, and community. Our mission is to provide a holistic education that empowers students to excel in all facets of life, fostering a spirit of resilience and innovation. Despite the challenges posed by Hurricane Maria, SMA remains steadfast in its dedication to maintaining a vibrant educational environment, supported by a passionate alumni network and community partners.
